Kent Cricket works closely with both Primary and Secondary Schools across Kent delivering the Chance to Shine Programme, aiming to give every child access to sport through cricket. The number of Schools and projects involved in Chance to Shine has grown significantly since the introduction of the programme. Kent Cricket has engaged with 221 Schools and has delivered 3,600 hours of coaching.

In both 2012 and 2013 we won Chance to Shine Awards, first we claimed 'School of the Year' with Ridge View and then the MCC Spirit of Cricket Award in 2013 at Riverside School!

The purpose of Chance to Shine is to develop tangible and sustainable links with local Cricket Clubs, which is achieved through a combination of club based projects and our Community Cricket Team. Chance to Shine provide us with a wealth of support and materials to be able to make Cricket exactly what schools want and need.
